Annual scientific meeting of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons was held in Hollywood, Los Angeles on dates October 10-14, 2018, Where clinic TALIZI team was presented by director of the clinic Dr. Akaki Tsilosani, leading surgeon Dr. Vazha Vadachkoria and head of training department Salome Vadachkoria. As during previous years, Talizi team has been actively involved in congress working process.

Scientific meeting was interesting with new and innovative topics such as fat stem cell treatment for effective cure of hair loss patients with beginning stages of androgenic alopecia, new research about biological processes and aging in the hair follicles, inducing follicle regrowth and news about hair cloning studies, utilization of the stem cells in the future field of hair restoration. New scientific papers and patient results were presented regarding topical Finasteride lotion, as a safe and effective medical treatment against Androgenetic Alopecia. Invited experts have discussed the effectiveness of the different methods of hair restoration and shared their experience and different views.

As during previous years, Representatives of Clinic TALIZI were actively involved in education program of the annual conference. Clinic director, Dr. Akaki Tsilosani was invited as an expert for morning table topics regarding body hair transplantation method. Also he has shared his study results performed several years ago measuring “survival rate of transected follicles”, his speech presented for general session received high interest and discussion from side of the audience.

Head of training department of clinic Talizi, Mrs. Salome Vadachkoria has presented video presentation which showed a medium-sized follicular unit extraction procedure performed in our clinic. Main idea of the topic was to show implemented methods for effective management of surgical process and efficient use of surgical time in our clinic, indicating main mistakes and challenges faced in this direction by the beginner clinics.

Every year we meet our trainee doctors at ISHRS annual conferences, we are happy to know that most of our trainees start successful practice in their countries in the field of hair restoration and already become active members and even invited experts for internationally organized workshops and programs held by International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons.
