Hair Transplantation in Scars

Hair restoration represents to be effective procedure for correction post burn and post trauma scars. Implanted hairs grow well not only in normal tissue, but also in injured scar tissue if hair loss is provoked by secondary scarring alopecia. All hair restoration methods (FUE, FUT, BHT) can be successfully used for correction of post trauma and post burn scars, also scars which has been formed due to surgical interventions, for example from face lifting procedure, or after removing skin lesions of different etiology.

FUE Method

FUE procedure represents to be minimally invasive and effective method for correction of secondary scaring alopecia of different size, shape or  etiology. This procedure uses hair follicles extracted from the back and sides of the scalp (the donor areas). Your surgeon will remove each hair follicle graft individually with a micro-punch tool. Each extraction leaves a tiny round scar, up to 1 millimeter in diameter.  The hairs are then grafted onto the recipient areas of the scalp, where small incisions have been made for each individual hair.  FUE is done on an outpatient basis, under local anesthesia. No stitches are needed and recovery time is typically short.
